There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened. -Mary Kay Ash

I remember this quote very well, because it was what my primary 6 teacher told the class. More recently, I watched the last episode of Code Geass R2. And the main guy said, there are 3 things a person would yearn for, the past , the present and the future.

The people who wonder what happened, are always looking to the past and wishing they were back in the past, so much so that they forgo the present. I admit, Im quite guilty of this, I always want to go back to my secondary school days, because of the fun I had.

The people who watch things happen, live in the present. Most of us are guilty of this, we tend to wish that time could stop because we are experiencing a picture-perfect period where everything seems to fall into place, as if by magic. Sure, its all good, but not everyday is Sunday. When things turn wrong, we will be left struggling and becoming the group 1 people. Those who wondered what happened.

Yet there is a third type of person, one who makes things happen. These people plan for the future, undertake procedures and harsh conditions, forging their future with solid materials. Any successful person will have to go through difficult times before truly being successful. No one up there has never failed before. Its like studying, perhaps some of us enjoy it, but most don't. But we all do it, because at the very least, it guarantees a desk job. Its like a foundation to fall back to.

But until we are old and retired, the future lies in our own hands.
