Recently, I did a worksheet on my definition of friends, which people impacted my life positively and whether I feel that I am a good friend. Im sure we all differ in our view of friends. To me a friend is one who is wants to and is willing to set aside time to spend with you, through good times and not so good times, without any strings attached.
Which is why, I go out of my way for my friends without expecting anything in return. Its true, by doing this and opening myself up, im exposng my vulnerabilities. But then again, im sure every one of us have been hurt by someone close before.
Which also explains why to me, I do not know if I am a good friend, it differs for each and everyone of my friends,so its up to them to decide.
To me, I believe
The best friend is one that can sit beside you to watch the sunrise and sunset, not say a single word and yet have the most meaningful conversation ever.
